Refurbishment

Second-hand and refurbished are often confused, but there are important differences:

Second-hand: These are devices that come directly from a previous owner, often via sales platforms. They are usually not checked or repaired. What you see is what you get, without warranty. The price is often low, but you run the risk of hidden defects.

Refurbished: Refurbished devices undergo extensive quality control where components such as the battery, screen, or hard drive are replaced if necessary. The big advantage? You always get a 1-year warranty, sometimes extendable to 2 years, which provides assurance about the quality and functionality. Although slightly more expensive, refurbished devices are more reliable and sustainable.

Buying refurbished from us is definitely reliable. All devices are up to date and have undergone a thorough inspection, hard reset, cosmetic upgrade, and detailed testing before being sold. Moreover, we provide a 12-month warranty on all devices.

Product

Through our parent company and pioneer in the circular economy, Out of Use, we give new life to discarded or unused IT materials from companies, schools, and other organizations. We do this by recycling valuable raw materials or by refurbishing and reusing materials.

To keep our assortment up-to-date, we supplement our own processed products with materials from reliable colleague refurbishers.

We offer our products in 4 quality classes: New, A+, A, and Visible signs of use.

New, unused devices

These devices are new and often still unopened in the original box. So you have all the luxury of a completely new device with a warranty, but you pay a lower price than elsewhere. 

A+ Condition: Hardly distinguishable from new

Our A+ is hardly distinguishable from new and is in excellent condition, virtually free from signs of use. Moreover, we guarantee the same performance as a brand new product.

A Condition: Top condition with slight signs of use

Our 'A Condition' equipment shows only slight signs of use, but is still of excellent quality. A possible small aesthetic imperfection does not affect performance.

Second chances: visible signs of use

Certain devices with some visible damage are still functional enough to be destroyed, so we would like to give these devices a second life. If you don't mind a dent in the casing or a small spot on the screen, and you want to enjoy an extra low price, then our second chances might be just right for you.

"We always install the operating system Windows 11 Pro (Windows 10 Pro for certain desktops) on the device. Additional software such as Microsoft Office must be purchased separately by you afterwards."

Not all laptops come with the original keyboard. Some keyboards are replaced or stickered during the refurbishment process. Because the stock varies quickly and widely, we cannot always indicate whether it is an original keyboard or not. If in doubt, you may always request this information from our customer service via info@backinuse.be.

Warranty

On all our devices that we sell, you have a 12-month warranty, starting from the moment the package is delivered to you. Moreover, you can easily extend your warranty by an additional 12 months for a fee that is stated on our webshop.

Our warranty covers all hardware defects. This also includes a warranty for unusual battery quality degradation.

If there is a defect or problem within 12 months of purchase that is not caused by improper use or external factors (such as drop or water damage), we as the seller will take responsibility for the repair or replacement of the device.

Order

We are currently only active as a webshop and can only process online orders. All orders are shipped from our warehouse to your home.

We do not have a physical store. Therefore, visiting in person is not possible.

Once you have made your selection and confirmed your order, you can choose from various secure payment methods. We guarantee thorough protection of your payment and personal data in accordance with GDPR legislation.

We accept ecocheques from Monizze and Edenred as a payment method. To take advantage of this, complete the following steps

  • Complete your order and click on the shopping cart
  • If desired, enter instructions or a VAT number and click Checkout
  • Enter your contact details and address and choose MultiSafepay under Payment
  • Click Pay Now
  • You will see a menu with options for eco vouchers at the top, choose the eco voucher from your distribution company
  • Follow the instructions and complete your payment

Not enough balance on your ecocheques card? Then you can also choose to complete the payment partly with eco checks and partly with another payment method. Follow the same steps for this. After the ecocheques transaction, you also indicate your payment card in the menu and complete the payment.

As long as your order has not yet been processed by our staff in the shipping department, it is possible to make changes or cancellations. Please contact customer service at info@backinuse.be, +32 (0)11 85 13 78 or via Whatsapp.

As soon as you receive an email with your track & trace code, it means that your order has been packed and registered with the postal service. From this moment on, it is no longer possible to make a change or cancellation.

Shipping

All orders are processed online and then sent to your home by post.

Only in exceptional cases and after agreement with our customer service is it possible to pick up a package yourself.

All orders over 100 euros are free. If your purchase is less than 100 euros, a shipping cost of 12 euros will be charged.

'As soon as the order arrives with us and you have received a confirmation email, we will deliver your package within 5 working days. This will be done via a courier service. Once we have packed your order, you will receive an email with a track & trace code to follow your package.'

For large orders or monitors >34 inches, we may decide to carry out the delivery via our own transport. In that case, a delivery appointment will be scheduled and communicated to you in a timely manner. These extraordinary deliveries may sometimes take place later than the promised 5 working days, depending on the workload.

We only work with official suppliers, where the strictest standards are applied.

For large orders or monitors >34 inches, we may decide to carry out the delivery via our own transport. In that case, a delivery appointment will be scheduled and communicated to you in a timely manner. These extraordinary deliveries may sometimes take place later than the promised 5 working days, depending on the workload.

We are currently delivering in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Luxembourg.

Retour

Yes, you have the right to return the product without giving a reason up to 14 days after receiving your order. You can only invoke the right of withdrawal if you have not used the product after receipt. You can report the return via the contact form or send an email to info@backinuse.be. You will then receive further instructions from our customer service. The shipping costs for returning the product are the responsibility of the customer in the case of the right of withdrawal.

Is there a defect with your device and do you want to invoke your warranty rights? Then you can always return your device free of charge. You can fill in the online return form or request a return via info@backinuse.be. You will then receive a return label and further instructions from us. If possible, please also send some photos or videos of the defect. This way, we can immediately assess whether we can assist you remotely.

If your device is defective and the warranty period has expired, our repair service can still attempt to repair your device. Please fill out the online contact form on our webshop and we will get in touch with you. If you decide to have your device repaired by us, our technicians will get to work for you. They will assess the damage and inform you of the repair cost. This way, you can still decide whether you want to proceed with the repair or prefer to buy another device from. www.backinuse.be
